The BULLDOG DMV 1 & DMV 2 De-Mining Vest have been recently developed to meet the demand for equipment specifically designed for Mine Clearance work. The vests offer maximum coverage whilst keeping flexibility and light weight a priority.
The BULLDOG DMV 1 & DMV 2 De-Mining Vests covers all the major areas of the upper body that could be life threatening if damaged. Unlike other vests, it concentrates on areas that could be fatally damaged, such as the groin, armpits and neck. The front armour section is a one piece design which has unique sewing and permits a three dimensional neck protection without any joins in the Aramid fibres.
The DMV 2 offers enhanced groin and shoulder protection when compared to the DMV 1. In principle we can offer the whole range of protection levels STANAG 2920 offer a V50 against a 17 grain fragment at 460 m/s. LBA can also supply a helmet and visor with the same level of protection.
Panels of water repellent woven Aramid provide the protection. The Aramid used is a special construction that provides the best protection against all sizes of Fragments, whilst still keeping the system light and flexible. These packs are tailored to provide maximum extent of protection. The design of the armour allows a high degree of flexibility to accommodate anthropometric variations and avoid restrictions to movement.
The armour in the jacket may be removed and the outer shell washed as required. The suit can be manufactured in a range of machine washable fabrics including Cordura and Fire Retardant.

The jacket has removable armour packs so they can be cleaned. Spare covers are also available.

Obtaining an export licence can take time, the Company understands these procedures and will request the Buyer to provide specific documentation such as an End User Certificate in order to process the application as quickly as possible.
