CamelBak Motherlode™ Lightweight MOD - Coyote/Tan Only

This re-designed lightweight CamelBak pack is the budget version of the CamelBak Motherlode, it was designed specifically for the UK MOD to offer simplified features and overall a lighter weight daysack and hydration system. The overall weight is now only 1.7kg.

The reduction in weight comes from a lighter weight cordura from 1000 denier to 500 denier by using thinner threads so it can be woven more tightly. The lighterweight fabric also improves the application of waterproof coating treatments and is easier to seam. The pack retains 80% of the abrasion resistance of the heavier and more coarsely woven 1000 denier version. The removal of the padded waist belt has also reduced the weight of this daysack.

Near IR compliance on this item relates to near/mid/far IR, the fabric has 'near-IR' compliance.

There is a main cargo space complete with internal organizers for tools and small items. Main compartment gives access to the water bladder, and also contains a flat pocket to hold a radio, laptop etc, and a zip closure mesh pocket to hold keys or similar small items.

Rear face of the pack features velcro panel for name patches, unit flashes etc, along with tough horizontal molle strips to which additional pouches could be added as desired. Top zipped compartment at the rear is fleece lined to give protection to goggles, glasses, NVG equipment or similar. Lower front compartment contains another mesh pocket with zip closure top.
