For further increased comfort the Oregon Airspace 7 point multi-pad system used on the BACH is widely regarded as the quality standard for ballistic helmet upgrades. Developed in 1997 for the U.S. Army Special Operations MICH helmet, the patented Ballistic Helmet Pads meet the original, more stringent specifications of the MICH helmet, providing superior shock absorption and creating a pain-free helmet. Superior Helmet Integrity and Testing

Helmets are tested versus penetration and back face deformation of Level IIIA 9mm and .44 Magnum ammunition, to the HP White Helmet Test Procedure (HPW-TP-0401.01B) Additionally, This test requires that one of each of the above rounds must impact directly on a suspension system fastener resulting in zero penetration. The entire range of helmets have been further tested to MIL_STD 662E for fragmentation performance. All of the BULLDOG Helmets maintain V-50 performance at over 2100 feet per second, surpassing the Mil Spec of 2000 feet per second. Test Results are available upon request.

Fragmentation resistance ranging from 400 m/s up to 750 m/s; as tested with 22 Caliber, 17 grain Fragment Simulated Projectile, according to STANAG 2920 and US MIL STD 662F.

NIJ IIIA Level : Protects against 9mm FMJ and 44 Magnum SJHP, in accordance with NIJ Standard 0101.04. (June 2001). It has a V50 of 600 m/s (2000 ft/s).
